Silvercity II (The End of the Beginning), 1999
Video for Installation with Silvercity 1
Written, performed, edited and produced by Bjørn Melhus.

In the later installation Silvercity II Bjørn Melhus sends two people in separate space capsules into orbit around the earth. By assigning to the astronauts the same hollow western movie dialogue used in Silvercity I he demonstrates the emotionally clichéd nature of language in film. In the end there is no real communication about personal feelings between the astronauts.

dialogue Silvercity 1+2
(german version):

Schläfst du schon? / Nein, warum? / Was? / Was? / Wieso? Was?
